Character FAQ

Q. When will my favorite character appear?
As often as the story calls for them. Since Cloudnigh is made up of several stories going on at once, you won't necessarily be seeing your favorite character all the time. Primary characters generally get the most screen-time, with secondary characters coming in next.

Q. Will my favorite character ever enter the primary cast?
There are a few changes that will happen throughout the story in regards to the primary cast, although who and when would be telling!

Q. Some of the names aren't filled in!
Sometimes, new characters are posted a little while before they're introduced in the story to keep you guessing. other times, this doesn't happen at all. It really depends.

The characters central to the plot of Cloudnigh. These may change from time to time as the story evolves.

Roman Fairchild

 A moody seventeen-year old born tricardiac—a mutation giving him three hearts and an elevated output of bioelectricity he must constantly manage. Although reclusive and seemingly bitter, Roman is quite passionate about computers and The Siphon, and is heavily involved in the Brewster music scene. His life recently changed when he met Kyrie Kapoor, his online girlfriend of four years.

Ryan "Nimbus" Skulk

 The best friend of Roman’s since middle school, the seventeen-year-old Nimbus is a basement-dwelling agoraphobe. No one seems to know how he came to be that way, why his voice sounds as weird as it does, or how he managed to land a girlfriend who seems intent on being his caretaker. Whatever the reason, Nimbus appears perfectly content to work on his music completely oblivious to the goings-on around him.

Victoria Fairchild—Roman’s prickly older sister. Although impatient with her brother at times, she seems to genuinely care about his well-being.

Aodh—An uninhibited Computer Personality that shares a unique bond with his owner. Given to Roman by his father before leaving the family.
